Softball

Red is playing softball for the first time. She hates it. She hates standing in the outfield. She hates having to sit on the bench. She hates batting. She does love one thing- the friends that she made while she was there.

Hubs and I told Red that she could not quit. It wasn't an option. It's not fair to the team or herself. She may not like things that come up in her life, but I want to teach her that there is positives. She tried something new. She stuck with it, despite her not liking it or it being hard. She made new friends. Never give up.

Endure. Withstand. Believe.

This is how we grow in life.

and anything else that can withstand fire must be put through the fire, and then it will be clean.

How we deal with the trials that are set before us is what makes us or breaks us. If you walk through with God, you may be broken, but you will emerge stronger on the other side. So strong, that the fire can no longer touch you.
